I spent a long time looking for the perfect black bag. Something wearable but with character. Something that leans avant-garde yet understated and affordable. It didn't exist. So I decided to create it.

That decision led me to leave my finance career in London and visit Guangzhou, China, known as the land of fashion manufacturing. It was a leap, but fashion had been calling for a long time.

What I found there surprised me, though it probably shouldn't have. The craftsmanship and quality of leather materials were genuinely impressive (if you know where to look). And so was the work ethic. The dedication I witnessed made me proud of my Chinese heritage.

That trip is where LOVRES really started. I came home knowing exactly what to build.
